Snake flies designed for Sea Trout can be fished using a variety of different techniques.
It can be fished at any depth you require by varying by the weight. Use a floating line so that the snake fly can be fished just under the surface causing a natural looking wake. An intermediate line of weight can get it down further and can be fished close to the bottom.
These patterns are not just good for Sea Trout which migrate from rivers into the sea where they can bulk up readily available food, but also Salmon as they migrate to spawn.
