Dark Sedge Dry Fly

Catalogue No: 897
The Dark Sedge is another creation of Harry Powell, a well known barber and fly tyer of the 1920s. The Dark Sedge is superb from dusk to dark, but it is also successful in tempting fish during daylight hours. It is particularly effective from early July through to the end of October.

Request a fly, size or option

We work closely with our fly tyers and can tie most patterns to order: a different hook size, barbless instead of barbed, a tungsten bead instead of a gold head; just ask.

Sending a request is free and you are not committing to buy. Depending on where we are in our tying cycle it can take a month or two for a pattern to arrive, and we may not be able to tie every request (fair usage applies); but if we can, we will.

Sign in first and we'll pre-fill your email and keep the request with your account.
